Building a Legacy of Victory
In December 1990, Shefali founded VCA in honor of her late father. Defying tradition that
expected only sons to carry the family name, she boldly named the institute “Vijay” —
meaning Victory, and embarked on a mission to transform lives through technology
education.
Since then, she has led VCA to become a global leader in IT training and workforce
development, training tens of thousands of students, supporting underserved
communities, and advancing opportunities for women in technology.
The Vijay Yatra Vision
Shefali calls her journey a “Vijay Yatra” — a journey toward victory.
Through VCA, she continues to expand opportunities globally, empowering learners with digital skills for the future of work. Her mission is clear:
To empower communities through technology education and inspire the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, and technology leaders.
Shefali motivates learners through her personal story while providing programs and services that enable real transformation.
